Many of us grew up being taught that getting a good education was the key to success.  Getting a college degree in the field that interests you was the key to attaining financial freedom while you performed a job that you genuinely enjoyed.  These principles still hold true today, but for far too many the road to getting the college degree is paved with disaster. 

If you are able to survive the pitfalls and obtain your degree, there is no longer a guarantee that you will be able to find a job at all, much less in your profession.  Adding to the problem is the skyrocketing cost of a college education which is saddling our youth with a mountain of debt that is almost impossible to pay.
