The “Nigger” word was created by oppressors of African Americans during slavery. The word was used to demean and dehumanize blacks. It was associated with a a falsely created perception that blacks were inferior, lazy and good-for-nothing people. Today, many blacks use the word “n***r” as a term of endearment. Disrespect of self invites the same from others, particularly when those being disrespected are willing to tolerate it, even from each other”.
