Lunch for the Month on a Budget

The Basics: 

This article is one piece in the series on "How to Feed a Family of 4 for $275 a Month" and covers the cost of lunch for a typical family of four.  The grocery list and the lunches assume that the 2 adults in he family need to make lunch during the week (22 lunches for 2) while the kids get free weekday lunches at school.  On the weekends all 4 family members need to eat lunch. 


The dinner article "30 Dinners for 4 on a $200 Budget" contains balanced meals with protein, carbohydrates and vegetables.  The breakfast article "30 Breakfasts for 4 for $45" contains meals with grains, dairy and carbs during the week, wih heartier meals (think bacon and eggs) on the weekends.  The lunch meals you see below are simple sandwiches and chips, with fruits (interchangeable) that are not served at breakfast and dinner.
