Marketing Intern (SF Bay Area)

We are looking for 5 marketing/sales interns to help promote our website and spread the word to the community. Our marketing interns will work closely with staff and a team of other college students to implement current marketing strategies and to create exciting new ways to promote our site. They will also work with staff to help build our Resource Directory.

This internship requires a time commitment of approximately 10-15 hours a week. We are very flexible in working around your school schedule. The internship could turn into a regular part-time or full time position.

The ideal candidate is:

· Very energetic and outgoing

· Likes to meet people

· Understands and likes to use social media (facebook, twitter, Digg, etc.)

· Is a marketing or business student

· Is a self-starter

· Has the schedule flexibility to work with us

· Marketing and/or Sales experience is not required but is highly recommended

Online Advertising Sales Opportunities (San Francisco Bay Area)

AfroDaddy.com is a self-help website designed to help individuals succeed and prosper in America. Launched in 2010 and geared toward an urban audience, AfroDaddy.com is quickly becoming one of the top website destinations for African American men and women.  We are also capturing a large multi-cultural audience of all age groups as much of our content is extremely valuable to anyone looking for self-improvement.

We are currently looking for sales staff to help us populate our Resource Directory with small to medium-sized businesses that provide products and services relevant to our readers.  The Outside Sales candidate will be responsible for selling online resource listings, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory with assigned business verticals.  Additional sales opportunities exist for the sales rep as they interact with potential resource listing candidates.

This is an excellent opportunity for a young, energetic person who wants to make money while being a part of a team that fully believes in supporting local communities.

The ideal candidate would:

· Have good understanding of and presence in social media (facebook, twitter, Digg, etc.)

· Have excellent phone and interpersonal skills

· Know how to leverage existing contacts to help generate sales

· Have outside sales experience direct selling to small-to-medium sized businesses. This is a big plus but not required.

· Have strong technical skills using computers, the internet, email

· Be a self starter and be able to work independently

· Be willing and able to generate leads through cold calling and maintain an active list of prospects

· Be able to work remotely with own computer and mobile phone

This is a commission based position with bonuses and incentives as you hit your sales targets.  Your earning potential is not capped and as we grow your earnings will grow. As the team builds there is great opportunity for advancement.
