150 ponzi schemes were reported in 2009 compared to only 40 in 2008.  These schemes cost investors over $16.5 billion. African American churchgoers lost millions in this ponzi scheme.

'False Prophet' Steals Millions from Churchgoers in Ponzi Scheme

Ephren Taylor29 year-old Ephren Taylor, the self-professed "youngest African American CEO of a public company", steals millions from churchgoing investors from Atlanta to Texas.

Many have heard of Bernie Madoff, the New York investment consultant who stole billions from investors in one of the largest ponzi schemes in history.  Now the African American community has their own version with Ephren Taylor who apparently is also a multi-billion fraud.  Taylor is accused of swindling millions from individual investors in over 40 states; gaining their trust  by "preaching" his investment strategy to churchgoers across the country.

Insider trading of stocks is illegal for everyone EXCEPT members of Congress

Members of Congress apparently do not need to adhere to insider trading laws when buying stocks.  Politicians with knowledge of new bills and laws that will drive stock prices of companies up or down routinely use that information to make stock trades.  This illegal behavior is widely known and accepted in political circles. $255 worth of gold 10 years ago is worth $1,256 today

Gold has been one of the best assets to invest in over the last 10 years (through June 15, 2010), and has risen almost 500% (from $255/oz to $1256/oz).  That means that your gold investment is worth almost 3 times today what it was worth in the year 2000.  Stocks during the same period have been flat (as a whole), with the DOW 30 stocks virtually unchanged (from 10,447 to 10,434) for a zero percent return!
