Tamron Hall

Who They Are:
News Anchor, Journalist

Sometimes watching the news can get a little boring, but with Tamron Hall on the set the news always seems to catch my attention.  Tamron Hall is the host of “NewsNation” on MSNBC and as one of the few African American women news anchors Tamron certainly is making a name for herself quickly.  Her signature short hair, beautiful smile and bright personality have made watching the news a much more enjoyable event for millions of Americans.

Tamron’s peers in the talk news profession certainly have taken notice of her popularity and have rewarded her with several guest-hosting spots on “TODAY”, one of the most popular news/talk shows on TV.

Prior to her work at MSNBC, Hall worked at WFLD in Chicago as a reporter, anchorwoman and host of “Fox News in the Morning”.  Her work has been very well received and more than justify her rise in news profession.  Tamron has been nominated for an Emmy for her consumer reporting and has been able to conduct several significant interviews to include a one-hour one-on-one interview with then Senator Barack Obama immediately prior to his announcement of his run for the presidency.

We certainly are proud to feature Tamron Hall in Beautiful Black women and wish her much success in her journalism career and beyond.

In Their Own Words:

"That's what I like about Day One. It's not just a support group; they are actively involved in influencing legislation to show people who choose to abuse that we mean business, that it is not a crime we take lightly." - Tamron Hall speaking about Day One, an organization to support women against domestic violence (Tamron is an active supporter).
