Michelle Obama (born Michelle LaVaughn Robinson) is the current First Lady of the United States, married to Barack Obama. Although Barack Obama gained much celebrity in becoming the 44th president, Michelle gained equal notoriety during and after the presidential campaign, becoming one of the most popular women in America. As First Lady she has done amazing work for the country including leading the"Let's Move!" campaign to help battle childhood obesity. Among other things, Michelle has become known for her fashion sense and style as well as her fitness, all of which are excellent.
Long before Michelle Obama became First Lady she had established herself as an amazing women entirely based on her own merit. She earned a law degree from Princeton and quickly became a successful attorney at Sidley Austin. Leaving the private practice in favor of public work Michelle has held several posts in the Chicago area to include the Assistant to the Mayor, Assistant Commissioner of Planning and Development and most recently, Executive Director for the Chicago Office of Public Allies.
An amazing talent, brilliant woman, devoted mother and dedicated public servant, Michelle Obama is much more than just the wife of the President of the United States.
