Laila Ali is the epitome of a strong black woman. Not only is she beautiful but she also knows what to do in a fight. The daughter of heavyweight legend Muhammad Ali, Laila is probably the best known female boxer of our generation. Undefeated in all of her professional fights, Laila followed in her fathers’ legendary footsteps by becoming heavyweight champion of the world in 2002. Like her father she did it with style and power as she demolished her opponents in the ring and always had a “pretty” smile on her face when she was done.
For many, their first introduction to Laila Ali was her 2007 appearance on Dancing with the Stars. On the show Laila was able to show a large audience her dazzling footwork as well as her beauty. Laila has retired from boxing, but remains a public figure through her philanthropic work as well as her acting forays in television to include her job as host of American Gladiators.
"We all have our strengths and weaknesses and there are many things that I'm not that great at, but I always focus on the things that I enjoy doing." - Laila Ali
