Father’s Day approaches and if you are fortunate enough to have a great father in your life he should be acknowledged for all the things he has done for you and your other family members. Of course we don’t know who is the actual “Best Father in America”, but why should we let a silly little thing like logic get in the way of honoring dads.
With that in mind, we have decided to have our first ever "Best Father in America" contest.
Criteria: The person you nominate must be a father (and not necessarily your father). By the way you can nominate yourself!
How to Enter: Take a moment to acknowledge your father in our comments box. Say whatever positive things you want.
How to Win: Get your sisters and brothers, friends and colleagues to “Like” your comment. The unofficial winner will be the one with the most “likes”, but we all know that any good father is a winner on Father’s Day!
The Prize: The “Big Piece of Chicken”. The "Oscar", the MTV "Moon Man", and the Olympic "Gold Medal" cannot compare to the “Big Piece of Chicken”. In addition to this prestigious award we will acknowledge our winner in the Fatherhood section here at AfroDaddy.com.
"What does daddy get for all his hard work? The big piece of chicken at dinner!" - Chris Rock
That’s it!
Acknowledgement of the good work that fathers do is so important and so often overlooked. Whether it be lawyer, garbage man, painter or house husband – a few kind words can motivate a man to press forward and do better than ever (a hug every once in a while doesn’t hurt either).
Happy Father’s Day!
